Welcome to the Venterskroon Inn Gravel Race! Join us for an exciting gravel cycling event set in the scenic surroundings of Venterskroon Inn in Parys. With five challenging routes, this race promises an unforgettable experience for cyclists of all levels. Mark your calendars for January 25th and get ready for a thrilling ride!
Race Categories and Details:
1. 54 km Gravel Challenge
- Route: A loop starting and finishing at Venterskroon Inn
- Terrain: A mix of gravel roads, gentle hills, and scenic farmland.
- Highlights:
- Farm Tracks: Navigate through charming farm tracks and open fields.
- Rolling Hills: Gentle ascents and descents that test your endurance.
2. 88 km Gravel Endurance
- Route: An extended loop starting and finishing at Venterskroon Inn
- Terrain: Diverse landscapes including gravel roads, rocky paths, and lush countryside.
- Highlights:
- Riverbanks of the Vaal: Enjoy the serene beauty as you ride alongside and across the Vaal River.
- Challenging Climbs: Steeper hills and technical sections for an added challenge.
- Scenic Trails: Breathtaking views of the Free State’s natural beauty.
3. 115Km Ultra Marathon
- Start at Venterskroon Inn
- Kick off at the inn, where participants can gather and get ready for the race.
- Follow the 54km Route
- Riders start with the established 54 km route, taking riders through the scenic river views, farm tracks, and rolling hills.
- The route finish off where riders join the 88km route, enjoying fast flat routes and 2 extra water points
- Terrain: Diverse landscapes including gravel roads, rocky paths, and lush countryside.
- Highlights:
- Riverbanks of the Vaal: Enjoy the serene beauty as you ride alongside and across the Vaal River.
- Challenging Climbs: Steeper hills and technical sections for an added challenge.
