2026 XCOSA EVENTS XCO RACE SIMULATION AT VOORTREKKER MONUMENT

The 2026 XCOSA Events XCO race simulations are designed so anyone can participate – it offers vital mountain bike race training for accomplished XCO athletes and proper XCO exposure to “newbies”! The modus operandi of the 2026 XCOSA Events XCO race simulations is as follows: Rider bookings are done online and close 12h00 on the Friday prior to the race simulation.  A R100 booking fee is payable per rider for online bookings. Late bookings are accepted up to 30 minutes before the start of the race simulation. Disposable XCOSA Event Timing System number boards are being used, issued on the day of the race simulation. An additional R50 late booking fee per rider is payable for late bookings. All categories start with a mass start at 08:00 and complete 4 consecutive laps. Riders compete against the clock in their respective age categories. Timing is done as follows:

• 1 – 14 participants: self-timed (no performance log)
• 15 – 19 participants: self-timed (performance tracking on performance log)
• 20+ participants: XCOSA Timing timed with number boards (performance tracking on performance log)

The race simulations take place on safe, controlled, custom designed and built racetracks with 99% flowing single track. Spectator friendly lap racing allowing continual support, no “out-of-sight-and-wait-for-return” support! We offer fun for the whole family and cater for Olympic champions as well as fun riders, from below 10 to over 60.
