Spring Day Festival Fun Run

Let’s celebrate spring in a nature reserve! Join us for the Bracken Nature Reserve SPRING DAY FESTIVAL by Friends of Bracken Nature Reserve, in partnership with City of Cape Town and in collaboration with Duprelen Accountants and Pam Golding Properties Brackenfell.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual stroller, or simply looking for a fun day out with family and friends, this event is perfect for all ages and fitness levels.

There will be a variety of activities, music entertainment and food stalls. Benches are spread out in the reserve for a family to have a picnic during the event.

The person that has the best spring outfit will be able to fire a cannon!

What to Expect:

5 KM FUN RUN

• Start 8H30
• R40 adults (R6 extra for online booking fee)
• R20 kids (under 13) (R6 extra for online booking fee)
• Walkers and runners are welcome
• Refreshments will be provided
• Medals for all participants

FLOWER WALK

• 2 free guided walks
• 9H45 – 10H30
• 10H45 – 11H30
• Flora and fauna of Bracken Nature Reserve
• Limited to 20 people per walk

CANNON FIRING

• 11H45
• History of signal cannons during VOC period
• Fire cannons at 12H00 (1 large and 4 smaller)

Gates will open from 07H00.
