The Cross, Sungazer 8km Nite Hike & picnic

Join us for a hike to the cross at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains, an adventure for the whole family!

Pack your headlamp or torch and a picnic, why not enjoy your supper at the cross?! There will also be a ‘Picnic for one’ to order – check under ‘Merchandise’!

With a 8km loop route, and approx 372m total elevation, this hike is rated 4/10 and you need to be reasonably fit&strong – this is a 3-4 hour outing.

List of compulsary items required for all our hikes: 

• Suitable lightweight hydration-/backpack/hip pouch
• Hydration/bottled water
• Sunscreen
• Hat/head gear
• Suitable non-slip shoes (Off road shoes. Normal sneakers/road running shoes are NOT suitable)
• Snacks
• Lightweight windproof jacket
• Fleece/midlayer depending the weather
• Your own emergency items, such as bandage, small petroleum jelly, blister plasters, etc

✨ Optional items: Fingerless gloves, hiking poles, beanie, buffs, sunglasses.

♡ Meet at the outer parking area of the Botanical gardens around 17h45.
