Get to know parts of Simonsberg’s amazing trails and let us know if they should form part of our Maxi Routes for 2024!

Stellies Shakeout Running Crew will plan and lead runners over two separate distances, depending on your fitness level. Routes aren’t marked, instead you will receive a GPX file of the route and guidance from the SSO crew leader.

Choose from two distances that will take you from Dirtopia Trail Centre @ Muratie up Simonsberg’s amazing trail network and farms and enjoy the incredible views over the Cape Winelands towards Table Mounatin.

You won’t be racing, but instead enjoy the trails, views and conversations over a couple of hours of exploration, followed by lunch and a couple of cold ones at Muratie!

Morning hot drinks, a Braai Lunch (Boerie Rolls, Kebab, Garlic Breads, veggie options and more available) and your First JACK BLACK or soft drink is included in your entry!

Distance Options:

+/-22km* – Starts @ 8:00 from Dirtopia (Registration from 7:15 with your coffee)

+/-12km* – Starts @ 9:00 from Dirtopia (Registration from 8:15 with your coffee)

*GPX Files will be confirmed closer to the time – please note you can always turn back or run further should you want. If you choose to break away from the group leaders you will be responsible for finding your own way home.

22km – R450

12km – R350

You won’t be racing, but instead running in a pace-group of your choice, led by a lead runner and a GPX file of the route (The Route will not be marked!).

It’s about mingling, enjoying and experiencing the beauty that the start of winter has to offer.
