Bastille Day Trail Run 2024

The Franschhoek mountains in July can be covered in snow. The rivers are scenic yet cold.

All routes have changed! This trail will be different than what you’re used to. Forget avoiding the puddles, your feet are going to be wet today. You will cross cold rivers, get close up with prickly bushes and be soaked in huge views.

Online entries close on 30 June 2024. 

Venue

The start finish zone is located at the ‘Old Bells Lodge’ on the edge of the Berg River dam (33’56’12.83’S, 19’4’27.14’E )

Toilets and warm showers are available.

Collect your race number, goodie bag items and ordered shirts. Wednesday,10July from 12:00 to 19:00 at iStore at Queens Hotel. Cnr Dock & Junction rd, V&A Waterfront. (Late entries available.)

Friday,12 July from 16:00 to 19:00 at The Race venue, Berg River dam, Franschhoek. (NO late entries will be sold.)

• Water- you will be crossing several fresh water rivers

25km, 35km, 50km:

• Rain jacket

• Charged cellphone in waterproof bag
• Food- enough for 4-10 hours!
• Water- you will be crossing several fresh water rivers
• Space blanket & whistle
• Headlamp/Torch and Race Map – provided
• Re-usable cup.

Recommended items:

Beanie, buff, gloves, enough warm layers.
