Step onto the trails for the very first edition of the Makulu Adventures Trail Event at the breathtaking Morgenhof Wine Estate. These world class trails with magical views promise an experience you won’t forget! Whether you’re chasing a podium or strolling for fun, this event is designed for everyone.
Choose between The Race or a relaxed No Rush Jog or Walk option — both available in 5KM and 10KM distances.
📍 Good to Know
Kids U10 are FREE (applicable to the ‘No Rush Jog/Walk option).
There will be food and coffee trucks on the day
Routes are well marked with aid stations on course
No dogs, prams
Ample parking available
There are on the day entries at this event which will carry a surcharge of R25
🏁 Event Formats
The Race (5KM, 10KM)
A timed challenge designed for runners ready to push themselves or race for a top spot.
Start Times:
10KM: 08:00
5KM: 08:15
Medals: All finishers receive a medal
Race Numbers: Issued at check-in
Prizes: Top 3 men and women in each distance
U18 podium finishers will receive non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
Timing: Officially timed event
No Rush Jog or Walk (5KM & 10KM)
An untimed, pressure-free option to enjoy the scenery at your own pace. Perfect for walkers, families, and casual runners just looking to move and enjoy the trails.
Start Anytime: Between 07:00 – 08:45
Cutoff Time: 4 hours for all distances
Medals & Prizes: Not included
Timing: This category is not timed
